What are the factors that affect the results of iq tests?

What are the factors that affect the results of iq tests?

There are various ways of checking or measuring the intelligence level of a person. The most common way is through iq tests.  The rate and level of intelligence in people vary and are affected by a number of things. A lot of times by environmental factors, by genes and even by the type of nutrition the individual was exposed to during formative stages. There are different schools of thought concerning this particular topic. A set of people believe that intelligence is innate and is not affected by anything or any external factor whatsoever. These researchers are referred to as psychometricians. They study the biology behind the intelligence quotient. The other set of researchers are cultural ecologists. These guys study the environment and how it affects intelligence. They believe that intelligence can be mutated.
The ability to be cognitive is very important in detecting intelligence in a person. The term IQ means Intelligence quotient.  A lot of times, the level of this IQ determines the level of a person's intelligence. While growing up, a lot of parents allow their kids to take iq test to determine how intelligent the children are. This is done in order to check some excesses and know if they have to look for means to increase the child's intelligence level. There are certain ideas that have sprung up about the intelligence quotient of a person. While some of them might be true, others are not. These ideas are:
·      The rate of a child's intelligence is directly related to the child's attendance in school. This implies that the more a child attends or stays in school, his/her intelligence level increases or is maintained. This idea has proven to be true.  There was a study conducted in London on I.Q scores, which showed that younger children had a higher score than the older ones. The reason for this being that the younger ones attended school more frequently than the older ones.
·      It had always been generally believed that first born in a family have a higher intelligence level than the younger ones. It was therefore believed that the older one would make for a true leader. This couldn't be any farther from the truth. I.Q level has nothing to do with the order of birth.
When parents make their children take I.Q tests, it is important that they take the most accurate online iq test to quench all doubts the parent might have about the child's abilities.
