The soft artistic look
that industrial lighting gives to your office.
The
construction of houses and structures is one that dates long into the
prehistoric times where a man uses palm fronds and sticks to make a habitation for
himself, fast forward to the era of mud houses, stone houses, concrete houses
and now we have glass houses. All of these are products of technological
changes and advances in the industries that are concerned with such.
Furthermore, the interior of most buildings in time past is nothing to write
home about but now has been overhauled by the concerted efforts of the interior
designers and decorators. One of the important elements of interior or exterior
design is the use of industrial lighting.
Significantly,
industrial lighting is one general term that covers all forms of lighting
systems used in different setup and buildings. Gone are the days when little or
no attention is paid to the interior of houses and buildings. In fact, one of
the first impressions that a building makes on anyone who enters the place or
comes in contact with the edifice is not always the master architectural
designs of the house but the interior design that is made on it. Consequently,
this has led to the placing of demands on the creative minds of people
especially the interior decorators and designers to fashion out materials
whether it is works of art, paint works, wall designs, elegant curtains etc.
and how they can be fitly arranged in a building to give a masterpiece appearance.
One
key thing however, they bring out the much effort that has been done in
designing the interior of a house is the lighting system, which of course is
mainly sourced from industrial lighting. There are many articles of lighting
that definitely falls under the context of the industrial lighting and that's
why a careful study of the kinds of materials that can be used as the lighting
set up in houses and buildings is very much essential. Interestingly, this
article has been seen at one time or the other by many people but a good
judgment whether it be residential or industrial is not made.
For
the purpose of definition, there are two distinct categories of the industrial
lighting, which are the pendant lighting and the vintage lighting. The pendant
light otherwise referred to as drop or suspender is a singular light fixture
that hangs from the ceiling of a building and it’s always suspended by a metal
rod, chain or cord. Most of these pendant lights, which of course are a vivid
example of industrial lighting come in different varieties of sizes and the
materials used in making, are also varied. This material includes concrete,
metal, glass and plastic. In terms of cost, the cost implication also varies
depending on the type of materials used in making the pendant.
